Jesus Was a Healer

Jesus was a Healer. Covid-19

While today may not be Good Friday that falls on April 10th this year, I'm sure many Christians are reflecting on how very different our Easter Celebrations will be this year in the middle of the Global Crisis that is Covid-19.

The Trump Administration has gone back & forth stating that the shelter-in-place that we're all living through would be lifted in time for Easter. It will not.

Several Churches across the country have defied the mandate that "only essential businesses" were to remain open during the period of Virus Containment known as Social Distancing to limit the spread of this deadly disease.

Suffice it to say that the Churches will not be filled with Parishioners on the Holiest Day of the year for Christians.

So this got me started to thinking about the Un-Christian-Like Behavior of So-Called Christians.

My family is Christian & God knows there are many in my family that are much more Pious than me.

Others are about as Spiritual as my pinky toe.

HYPOCRITES.

When I think of the Political differences between Democrats & Republicans - who by the way have seemed to commandeered the Christian Religion, positioning themselves as "Christian Conservatives," I would say, remember this:

Jesus was a Healer.

When I think of the Party of Trump, formerly know as the Republican Party - now known as the Trumplican Party, people such as Ted Cruz & Greg Abbott & Trump himself continue their assault on Obamacare.

In the middle of a Global CRISIS, the Trumplicans are still vowing to "Repeal & Replace Obamacare."

I'm thinking they may be False Prophets.

While looking for inspiration for my Blog this morning, my thoughts necessarily turned to Scripture where I found this from the Book of Ecclesiastes:

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Immediately I found myself singing this verse with a song from my Childhood in 1965 by the Byrds.

I had that moment this morning going "OMG. Those are not song lyrics. They are a Bible Verse."

With everyone searching for any kind of peace & solace while we're sheltering I place I thought I'd leave you with this.

Please enjoy.
