One More Hurdle to Pass to Save Our Care

On September 13, 2017, Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) released the full text of the Cassidy-Graham Bill in a final push to “Repeal & Replace ObamaCare” for all to read for themselves.

I keep coming back to the fact that if we had elected our 1st Female President all of this could have been prevented. But this is where we are.

What are our best options moving forward?

First of all, defeat this terrible Bill just released yesterday. Full Text of Cassidy-Graham Bill:

I’ve gotta say, we Democrats & those of us concerned for the future of our Health Care have some powerful supporters against it, starting with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners who are set to testify on the Senate Floor this morning. (9/14/2017)

Forbes Magazine online also reported that again, even Conservatives in the Republican Party are skeptical about the Bill’s ability to gain much steam:

Also Wednesday, Bernie Sanders (D-VT) revealed his counter plan of Medicare for all, a far better choice than anything the Republicans have put on the table, but still not perfect.

As I said in yesterday’s piece https://www.revolvingdoorhr.com/single-post/2017/09/13/MediMed-Resources-for-Special-Needs-Kids the Medicare Model of 1st Payer, 2nd Payer could be the answer.

The problem I see with the Bernie Sanders “Medicare For All Plan” is that Medicare was only ever intended to be an 80/20 Plan.

Let me say that again: Medicare was only ever intended to be an 80/20 Plan – where Medicare pays 80% of Covered Expenses & the Insured is responsible for those 20%s of Out of Pocket Expenses: thus the need for SUPPLEMENTS.

While Senator Sanders’ Plan does have merit WE WILL STILL NEED SUPPLEMENTS.

In my opinion, George W. Bush has done more for Health Care than most people know or give him credit for.

Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, George W. Bush

The MMA of 2003 created Medicare Part C, the “so-called Medicare Advantage Plans,” created Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage & created LIS Low Income Subsidies for Senior Citizens on Medicare who could not afford their prescriptions.

Barack Obama did for the rest of us what George W. Bush did for Medicare. Period.

Not only is Health Insurance my livelihood, it is how I get MY coverage. I am one of the millions of people who will be uninsured if this Bill passes.

That having been said, I am actually a HUGE FAN of British-style Socialized Medicine, but that will likely go over like a fart in Church trying to get passed in Washington.

So having done this for 11 years, I think we need to come up with a Bi-partisan Plan to bring both Political Parties to the table to FIX OBAMACARE.
