Emmys, Oscars, Golden Globes. Are Awards Shows Relevant Anymore? PUBLISH the ERA
While WOMEN wait for basic Constitutional Equality under the Equal Rights Amendment, the back-slapping, self-congratulatory slander machine known as Hollywood struggles to remain relevant since Americans began cutting the cord from Cable TV several years ago.
The NIGHTMARE OF Dramas & Thrillers & phony "Reality Shows," with salacious storylines continue to turn out GARBAGE such as "Revenge" & "Scandal" & "How to Get Away With Murder" - even in light of the most recent Writer's Strike in Hollywood last year in 2023.
As seen in any Awards Show, not just last night's Emmy Awards, it is not just a "one MAN, one PERSON or one WOMAN" show. It is a team effort with a production staff of hundreds
writers
producers
directors
actors/actresses
and so on.........................
all the way down to Wardrobe & Makeup Artists:
It seems to me that the rabid competition for "viewers, eyeballs & dollars" has gotten SO MUCH WORSE since the Digital Revolution in 2009, when Broadcast Stations made the change from Analog to Digital TV & WE - the Viewing Public - had to PURCHASE NEW EQUIPMENT to be able to see ANYTHING.
(Did 'ya see THAT there? Getting into our PURSES to BUILD THEIR WEALTH AT OUR EXPENSE...)
Several years later, when my Homeowners' Association opted to stop providing Cable TV as part of our monthly fee, I refused to get my own Cable Account in a silent protest of these changes, choosing to watch whatever you can pick-up with a standard Antenna & Documentaries on YouTube.
I did this for YEARS.
This year I got a Roku & WAS SHOCKED at the SHEER NUMBER OF STATIONS AVAILABLE WITHOUT CABLE.
So the Emmy's for this year are over, finished & done.

.....yet the mudslinging between the Network Behemoths is still going on.
Ask YOURSELF the 5 Ws.
Who?
What?
When?
Where?
Why?
With RESPECT TO WOMEN, I cannot help but wonder what, if any role, airing the Emmys on MLK Day in 2024 played in continuing the passive aggressive attacks on Women, Women's Civil Rights & the publication of the fully Ratified Equal Rights Amendment.
It is no small coincidence that this year is 2024.
It is no small coincidence that National Milk Day was last week.
It is no small coincidence that Congresswoman Alice Paul's Birthday is January 11th.
It is no small coincidence that the Emmy's aired on Martin Luther King Day.
And it is no small coincidence that President Biden is REFUSING to PUBLISH the LEGALLY-RATIFIED Equal Rights Amendment.
It seems to me to be ORCHESTRATED PROPAGANDA.
People are INDIVIDUALS
PUBLISH the Equal Rights Amendment to END the War on Women in Pop Culture.
PUBLISH the Equal Rights Amendment to END the War on Women in Society.
PUBLISH the Equal Rights Amendment to END the War on Women in Politics.
When we have not one, but TWO PRESIDENTS who swear an Oath of Office to protect the Constitution & then FAIL TO FULFILL THEIR CONSTITUIONAL DUTY to PUBLISH duly-Ratified Amendments we are in a CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS.
Women deserve better than this.
